In our second quarter donations from our OysterFest proceeds, Skookum Rotary provided funding to Project Share through the Mason County Community Action Council
in support of Mason PUD3 customers that have been struggling to pay their electric bills.

If you would like to contribute to this cause, you can easily round up your PUD bill and note excess funds are for Project Share or you can contact the Council and make a direct donation.  If you or someone you know is in need of support, the Mason County Community Action Council (CAC) energy assistance can help. Customers are encouraged to call CAC or go online to prequalify for help with their electric bill. Go to www.caclmt.org or call (360) 426-9726. Funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis.

The CAC also manages the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). LIHEAP is a federally funded program, helping families stay safe and healthy through financial help with energy costs. The program begins in the fall and continues until all funds are gone.
