Hood Canal 4th Graders Receive Dictionaries
Hood Canal Librarian, Jamie Allwine helped us donate approximately 40 children's illustrated dictionaries to 4th Graders at their regularly scheduled library session.  Skookum Rotary used OysterFest dollars to fund this project and club members (Candace, Kathleen & Phil) helped students learn how to use the dictionary, world atlas, state descriptions with flags and US Presidents.  A dictionary was given to each 4th grader to take home and share his/her family.
Skookum Rotarians signed each dictionary with an inspirational sentence.  OysterFest Dollars At Work!
District Governor, Mo Fritz-Roberts Speaks About Joy to Skookum Members
Mo visited Skookum Rotary Club members during Rotary Foundation Month to talk about her experiences with a project in Africa to help local people develop small businesses.  She discussed how she was able to leverage Rotary with other organizations in Africa to secure loans for the businesses and how her principal recipient was able to pay back.  She also emphasized how important it is to donate to the Rotary Foundation and how each dollar donated can be multiplied through matching and other means to make a difference.
