The Oyster Man was installed on the entry to the City of Shelton on Hwy 3 just above Overlook Park.  With an oyster raised in victory, the Oyster Man is surrounded by the shellfish bounty of Mason County.  He replaced the Paul Bunyan display that was developed to celebrate Forest Festival.  Skookum Rotarian Jill Himlie worked with Rachel Hansen, Image in Action Design to bring the project life.  The new monument will take its place between Paul Bunyan and Santa in the yearly rotation.
Rotarians Jill Himlie, Phil Griggs, Tyler Ramos and Nancy Kissner were on hand to welcome the Oyster Man to town.  The project was funded by the Skookum Rotary Club Foundation.
