Science Fair 2019
March 30th was a very successful Science Fair.  Many student exhibitors from Grades K though 8 participated in the event with physical and biological science projects.
Glenn Harris, our District 5020 ShelterBox Ambassador attended our meeting on March 13th.  He described the role of ShelterBox in disasters helping to provide temporary housing around the world.  He also thanked Skookum Rotary for being a sustaining contributor to the effort.
Washington Corrections Center, Superintendent Dan White
Superintendent White gave an overview of Washington Correctional Center and how the the landscape is changing in the corrections world.  He contrasted today's inmate population with that of 20 years ago and discussed current topical issues within the system.
Correctional Industries
Deanna Rodney and Lucienne Banning spoke about Correctional Industries and the success of training inmates for skills/jobs so that they can be successful on the “outside “.
